Started as a junior reporter, Widnes Weekly News (£12.85 a week with 18p for tea!). Court reporter, sub editor, group sub editor; Chief Reporter Runcorn Weekly News; Editor Liverpool Weekly News at the age of 25.

PR Officer, Royal Bos Kalis Westminster (UK and Netherlands); Press Officer, Cheshire County Council; a couple of years in an agency environment.

Other roles have included RNVR; Non-Executive Director, NHS; Conciliator, NHS; School Governor and Mentor; Cheshire Business Ambassador.


Cassandra Dunlop, Account Manager

I became a Reporter with the Rhyl, Prestatyn and Abergele Journal after leaving university with a degree in journalism. Within a year I was promoted to Chief Reporter before spending several months as Acting Deputy Editor.

I then decided to take the PR plunge and join the de Winter team as an Account Executive.

Other roles include wife, and proud owner of Molly the cat!


Kerry McCrink, Account Manager

Was a reporter with the Chester & Ellesmere Port District Standard and subsequently the Wirral News, Crosby Herald and Bootle Times.

My first PR role was an Account Executive for leading Manchester agency,
Communiqué PR, where I worked on accounts including Johnson’s the Cleaners, Chicago Town Pizza, Wates Construction and Amanda Smith Cakes.

Key achievements also include working for Cambridgeshire healthcare agency, Myriad PR where I managed SSL International’s portfolio of products including Durex, Meltus, Full Marks, Resolve and Tiger Balm.

Current responsibilities include media relations and day-to-day client liaison and I’m also responsible for developing PR plans and researching and developing new business


Jo Gregory, Business Manager

My first job was a Saturday girl at Thomas Cook, then six months at the Abbey National Building Society, Office Assistant at NMW Computers and then to a PR agency as office junior.

Joined de Winter PR & Marketing in 1989. My role as Business Manager involves many challenges including project management and support, co-ordination of suppliers, day-to-day business management and liaison.

Other roles include Crewe Alex Football Club steward on matchdays – many highs and lows over the years! Mum to a mischievous four-year-old.


Sharon Cotterill, Finance Manager

Worked in customer services and for Cheshire County Council as a payroll officer before joining the de Winter team in 1990.

Heavily involved in managing the company’s finances and the day-to-day
running of the business, including extensive customer and supplier contact and project management support.

My other roles include running around after two children!


Kerry Maddrell, Designer

38 years’ experience in design and communication. Formerly Head of Graphic Design for Cheshire County Council and before that, graphic designer with Rexel Limited and the Longman Group.


Hazel Alexander, Designer

First job out of polytechnic: Warrington & Runcorn Development Corporation based at Norton Priory (a log fire was the only form of heating). Graphic Designer at Hall Redman Associates (HRA). Freelanced for a year working on a number of projects with Headland Design before joining the team here.

My spare time is taken up with my two very spoilt Springer Spaniels.


Stuart Williams, Designer

I worked as a Screen Printer in Liverpool before working with my dad in a Bakery! Then went to Design College and joined the team in 1998 as a graphic designer, specialising in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Rachel Clifford, Designer
