The de Winter team is celebrating its leading role in this
year's Christmas light switch-on at Golden Square shopping centre,
Warrington.
Despite the cold weather, nearly 3,000 people turned up to the
Old Marketplace, Warrington to see X Factor star Treyc Cohen
perform and turn on this year's lights. Hundreds more watched the
show on the big screen in Bridge St, making this year's light
switch on one of the best attended ever.
"This is my first time performing in Warrington and the crowd is
fantastic", Treyc said. "There is a wonderfully festive atmosphere
and I'm really amazed at how many people have turned up!"
The crowd was also entertained by former X Factor hopefuls
Princes and Rogues, local boy band The Mend and a special preview
from Warrington Wolves Panto Aladdin featuring Warrington Wolves
player Jon Clarke, who is currently celebrating his testimonial
year.
The de Winter team promoted and helped manage the event and were
at the front to cheer on all the performers.
Chief Executive Hems de Winter said: "We are thrilled with the
success of the light switch-on, especially as this year was the
first ticketed light switch-on in Warrington. To have so many
people attend is credit to how hard the whole team has worked
promoting the event."
